Spunky was a small boy and Tadpole was his oddly named teddy bear. The pair traveled along having adventures that were typical of early cartoons. Luckily for Spunky, Tadpole was able to talk and help out whenever things got a little rough.

Little Roger loves aeroplanes. He goes to the airport to watch take offs and landings. One day he sees "a very special plane" that glows and gives Roger pinwheel eyes. He's in love! When Roger wishes he had wings, they pop into being on his back! But they are too small to really work, so he goes in tears back to that special plane, which now can talk! It tells him the wings are wings of imagination, so he imagines himself doing all sorts of wonderful things in planes and helicopters. Roger clasps his hands together in an effeminate way frequently, but the main point is that air travel is changing everything about modern life for the better.
